We moved to Santa Monica less than a year ago and tried various platforms like Bumble BFF, WhatsApp groups, Heylo, and Luma to meet new people. The issue with most friend-dating apps is that it becomes a full-time job just to sift through profiles, gauge interest, and schedule meet-ups. It's overwhelming and time-consuming. Event platforms, on the other hand, require you to commit to attending an event. That's why we built Meet — to connect you with people who are nearby and interested in activities you'd be doing anyway.

You open the app and scroll through a TikTok-style feed. Before inviting someone to connect with you, you select an activity you'd like to do with them. Then you can see who has expressed interest in you. When you feel like playing tennis or being social during a yoga class, you can review who's connected with you and reach out.
